Re: How much longer?

Nice, I hope this is reasonably "ok" outcome for you (and I would bet somebody else got very happy about jumping in), have a good time, take care and in case you will ever cross your path with ZXN again, let's hope it will work lot better that time and there will be just fun involved *next* time. :D...

He may be right, technically... but who cares, if the knowledge is encrypted in unknown language completely inaccessible to anyone outside of the original elder tribe, guarding their precious secrets jealously... :D

Re: How much longer?

" I was simply asking how long we have to wait until we get some product for our hard earned cash " - fair, but unfortunately the answer is nobody knows at this moment (at least not with meaningful precision, "within 10 years" is very likely 99.9% accurate answer, but doesn't help much). But by usin...

Re: How much longer?

I don't know... I just guess, that even if the keyboard prototype will work this Monday, it's just final step of pre-production phase. There's still some time to press the cases and keyboards, and I don't think the factory has empty line just so, i.e. it will would have to wait for free slot on the ...

Re: How much longer?

Until it is shipped. I'm not sure what you are asking, they keyboard is currently of sub-par quality, typing random characters when compound keys are used (delete, arrows, etc... i.e. keys which will be used often enough for you to notice). It takes several weeks between iterations (actually this la...

Re: How low is too low?

esx calls don't need RAM (except stack must be valid upon entry, not sure about its size, would rather play it safe and have 50B at least there, but maybe it's just 2-4B needed before ROM pages its own scratch RAM for its internal stack ... I don't have board to try). So for ESX calls you need (AFAI...

Re: zx spectrum next

You can still do the like-full-screen video by reading compressed data (especially if not aiming at 50/60fps), but if you want just to trivially push raw pixel data from SD card to RAM, then you are correct, it's too slow, even in the 14 (~10) MHz mode. The wolfenstein3D doesn't relate to the speed ...

Re: Hello from Washington State

And there's the decision to run second kickstarter to just produce another batch of the cased units - after the current KS is finalized and everything is shipped and done. I.e. hopefully around that June/July they will start to prepare for second campaign (this time without any serious research/deve...

Re: zx spectrum next

Maybe one more comment about "does the DMA support full screen animations at 50 frames per second? that would be 50x48kb =2.5mb per second from the sd memory device is this possible?" I'm kinda puzzled by this one, what you mean by full screen animation, for me full screen animation is when the comp...

Re: zx spectrum next

Hi Roger, I will try to add on some of those questions... is there a technical manual coming for it? The project on kickstarter was presented as "open source". So theoretically not only technical manual is coming, but whole scheme and firmware, etc. Then again over time I realized some people have d...
