Re: Simple DMA example

There's a DMA copy and a DMA fill here , with LDIR copy and LDIR fill for comparison. See the DMACopy.asm file. Thanks for providing all the code. I guess the “ParaSys boot stub - it asks Zeus to provide the slave code, loads it into memory and runs it“. Do I need to include this? I notice you have...

288 x 224 resolution

Just out of interest

The Spectrum has a resolution of 256 x 192
Early arcade games used a resolution of 288 x 224, so an additional 32 pixels on each axis, I assume this took in some of the border area?

Is it possible to get the same resolution on the next?

A question : Some people also refer to a SID chip, but I don't find anything about it in the documentation . Is it something the Spectrum Next has? However, Arko...

Composition and Playback of AY music The Great Unknown

Hi

I have never been able to quite understand how to compose AY music on the Spectrum

Can anyone recommend how to compose music on for the next and any code to play back the files in Z80

Also, any tips on sound fx composition would be good

Thanks
