Well it's not necessary you understand the baseconf specs. Baseconf and TSConf have the same hardware base (ZX Evolution) but then the two firmwares are almost completely different: they are Speccy compatible but the extensions are different between them: different extra modes, sprites&tiles only in tsconf and not in baseconf, different memory management, etc

new (and old) demos for zx enhanced (ts-conf): http://bbb.retroscene.org/prods.php?m1
PiyoTaro, articles about development
Reason why I made this thread.

I made this thread because I wanted to debate that "If tile graphics are adopted for ZXSpectrumNEXT, it should be this spec." That's because I got a response saying "Hardware has already been confirmed" to my question about FM Sound (in other threads).
However, the development of the ZXSpectrumNEXT core continued even after the end of 2018, and "tile graphics" was adopted.

ZXSpectrumNEXT is the next generation of Sinclair ZX, and it is a project of meaning different from other "compatible machines".
I am participating in this forum thinking that "2D game console should be able to think about possible functions."

Recently on FB, in the comment tree about NextDAW to FM sound, there was a reply that "the production of different core is discussed in the forum".

(I think that it was when this forum was launched that I asked, "Why are there people who want or want to adopt an OPL-chip that is not related to the history of ZX Spectrum?" But everyone's perception has not changed . If I was introducing game music of "Wave memory sound chip" such as "Konami SCC" or "Namco N163" two years ago, could the times have changed?)
---

The reason I set up this thread was a request to have a "tile graphics mode" like TS-Conf, although only "Layer2" was prepared even at the "GOLD EDITION" stage.

The circumstances at the time of this thread was added to the top post.

The real reason for not being able to adopt the FM sound core is not to "infringe on the Yamaha IP" but to the fact that the creator of the FM FPGA core has started to display the right? I tried adding it. (For fear that the OPN-FM core will be adopted in the MD clone game machine)
