ripping the guts out of games

Found a couple of games on the oric, based off scifi tv shows from yesteryear.

Think they might work well as a next game. However the only useful thing in the original, are the graphics.

SO guess am gonna be taking folk on a trip to Moonbase Beta 8-)

Never used an oric before, or played a game. Best to use fuze emulator to look at the graphics?

would be interesting to read the plot of the game, but very unlikley we would use any of it.

Any advice on examining software from other platforms?

Do you own the copyright on these games?

I'm guessing you'll be working on the isometric Space 1999 game then?
It looks fantastic and I had fun playing it on an emulator a few years back. I didn't get far and after watching a walkthrough on YouTube I realized why - it loooong and boring ... but if you make up your own story that's not a problem ;)

Does it matter? I mean - it's always a good idea to ask for permission ... if you can find the authors.
... and he may already have ... you don't know. None of us does.

Besides, if he doesn't sell the result and just gives it away for free then he should be good.
