Re: First steps into Z88DK...and many more to come!

Its been a while. VR is hungry work and I've returned to all things retro for a break... Rolled the sleeves up and learning Z80 assembly proper with the tutorials on Chibi Akumas. While that site is great, I am thankful for the help I got here last year. I ought to backup the work here to Github, ju...

Re: Think BIG and go RETAIL

- the Zero should be more than enough muscle for Spectrum games... But probably not for the Next ... which this is all about. Yes. But this is also about it competing with the "mini" products on the market - in which the Next does not stand a chance at all due to its comparitively expensive price t...

Re: Think BIG and go RETAIL

Basically, to compete with the "minis" at the moment, the Spectrum would have to be emulated on what is essentially Raspberry Pi technology. The Next, being FPGA technology, is far too expensive for that market. Its a shame because with a winning game pad that is SNES Classic quality, an emulated Sp...

Or something cheesy like that...

Re: What kind of music were playing in the backgound

Good god man! Mostly stuff we taped off the radio chart show. World in Motion, International Rescue, Smooth Criminal...and other stuff. Brother used to borrow the "Monster Hits" compilations from mates at school. Personally I have the themes from Blockbusters and Knightmare stuck in my head from the...

Re: Web site/page with overview of all games and software

Its really a chicken and the egg situation where not all the backers have received their machines and the delivery date has not yet been declared. Also, the Next emulators are still works in progress, so what may work on an emulator might not work on the real thing... To cap it all off, there is no ...

Re: Sad news regarding the Sinclair Vega Plus...

Key point there (I believe) is that JetSetWilly got their refund from their credit card company rather than from RCL. If you paid on credit card I suggest you try the same route. I wonder if Maria let him into the bedroom after getting that refund.... Thankfully I didn't back the Vega+, although it...

I backed this, and successfully got my money back over a year ago.

It's an absolute shambles and RCL deserve to go to jail for what they did.

I feel sorry for everybody who didn't get their money back.
Was there much hassle in getting your refund?

The PocketCHIP (which is apparently a thing of the past) was $70 (~£55) had a (touch)screen battery and full keyboard and has enough CPU power to handle FUSE.
OMG! I MUST HAVE ONE!!! :o
