Re: N-go case build
OK, not everything is possible, but a lot... I really enjoy taking this here with me to retro events. There is always some attention on the device. Speccy64.jpg It plays the C64 very well. - I should use the original ROM. May be this is even better. @iss05e : Really like the Spectrum -2! Re: No signal using HDMI to DVI-D
From my experience VGA on many LCD Monitors isn't the best choice. :( Several of my monitors do have issues syncing the signal. Others do not store the horzontal- or vertical position of the analogue signal. If possible I'm using the digital input (HDMI- or DVI) as I don't have to recalibrate the sc...

Re: Prepping for the Next - What to buy?
Having prepared the World Of Spectrum archive to fit on a SD card I have optimized the file names and the handling for 8.3 file names several years ago. files.jpg It works pretty well even with the short names. The reason why I generated the short (but understandeable-) file names was that divMMC wa...

Does anybody of you know the Competition Pro Mini?
It's the one in the back. - Even though I have bigger hands, I really like it. It works fine for me...
The SpeedLink is the same size as the original Competition Pro is.

Re: Honey! I burnt out my Next
A very good solution to avoid killing the board is to add a bridge rectifier on the 9V mains. Being installed in this way, the polarity of the input voltage does not matter. The device will work independent from the polarity of the PSU. I have got a ZX-Uno board having this sollution. It's really ni...

Re: Sorting the SD card easily
@Ped7g Exactly Running Linux it's just three steps and very simple commands to sort the file allocation table of a partition. I'm using fatsort which is part nearly every software repository. Here a simple "HowTo" . After installing it, e.g. on Ubuntu via sudo apt install fatsort the command is very...

Re: N-go case build
Hi Gotang, to me it's an idiosyncratic approach to use an Atari case for a Spectrum Next. (I never would kill such a device for a retro project.) By the way I think it's much to large for such a small computer. My setup contains a retro case and a tiny (Cherry-) PS/2 keyboard to type on. RetroRadion...

Re: Dev board / N-GO Reset, Drive and M1 button caps
The board looks really nice. You should populate the RTC battery and the joystick ports. I'd prefere the ones at the right (see below). RetroRadionics04.jpg A working RTC is really nice when using the Next and the joystick ports do fit very well into the 48k case. Have a lot of fun... MfL der Eratos...

ZX Spectrum: Which one is top of the line?
Moin, moin! (== Hi!) Being one of the lucky ones owning an unused 48k, an unused Toastrack and having not yet used my Next (1st Kickstarter), I'm not sure, which one is the best ZX Spectrum. See my hirachy below: https://i.ibb.co/R9GpCCb/Spectrum-Top-Of-The-Line.jpg (For hires pic klick here .) Yes!...
