I see what you're saying, so if I were using say Plot 0,0 this will display a pixel at the top left of the inner screen (classic Speccy style) but sprites placed at 0,0 would display at the top left of the entire screen. There are 512 colours in the palette now so you choose 256 of them. Oh that's brilliant then, just made things a lot easier. @Flinnster Yeah I understand that and I've worked under harsher limitations including 16 colour palettes but it just seems odd that out of 256 colours we have many colours that are an unnoticeable shade different from each other and yet not one pure grey. That palette...erm?!

How married are we to that palette? I mean is it set in stone or can there be some wiggle room? I mean the lack of grey scale is killing me on practising my pixel art with this palette. I've worked with worse but 256 colours shouldn't neglect grey scales, it can't even replicate the original palette...
