Re: Firmware Update

A new update has been released due to issues found in 0.8B. The latest version is 0.8B-rev A with NextOS 1.97-D.

If you have already updated to 0.8B then there is no need to reflash as the TBU file is the same.
Just copy the files over and your'e done :)

Re: Firmware Update

Thanks Daeve. Nothing yet but I guess it will be released very soon. I've also read somewhere that there will be an Arkanoid type game included in the distro.

Re: Will the issue 2A boards be a collectors item ?

If there is a demand and a low supply yes. Though could be high due to people not joining the kickstarter and kicking themselves, price will drop when and if more boards are produced IMHO ;) The more boards produced will affect the value and I agree. But I am asking the question regarding the 2A bo...

Will the issue 2A boards be a collectors item ?

Hi all, I want to write this post as I am amazed by the price these boards are selling for on eBay at the moment. It would be great to find out how many of these 2A boards were manufactured and sold. Does anybody know ?. We all know that the issue 2B will be supplied with the cased versions of the N...

Re: DIY Upgrade Components

The 9V power supply I got a hold of has a switch like this inline. It definitely solves the no power switch problem. Yes it certainly does. Not everyone can solder or want to modify their boards so that's why I put this alternative on. These sockets do lose their tension over time by continuous plu...

Re: DIY Upgrade Components

Not exactly an upgrade but it is a useful add on without any soldering required.

It's just a simple inline power connector. Could be an item of interest Rich ? :)

More of Bob Smith's work can be found HERE .
A very talented man indeed. Factory Daze is another one of my favourites.

Re: Vin input capacitor

This is the neatest job I can think of but it needs extra work: cap-mod.jpeg I did this as a favour for ckirby101 . It just about fits. I had to remove the power jack socket completely to be able to solder the ground side of the cap to the ground pad and bend the positive lead through J16. And the s...

Re: Strange issues with 50/60Hz and the boot editor

That´s nothing I can do myself, I reckon? That´s done by firmware? Yes of course. I didn't mean it was something we could do. The fault is only from fresh power up so it seems the SD card isn't ready in time. As for the 50-60Hz issue, that's probably something else. Victor is going to take a look a...

Re: Strange issues with 50/60Hz and the boot editor

Could this easily be fixed by adding a delay or increase SD card access time ?
