Re: How easy from Next computer to board DYI?
ok, the schematics are up on Gitlab.... it's actually fairly easy to DIY a Next as there really isn't that many components on the board... Fire up EasyEDA There's already suitable FPGA libraries there Copy the Schematic over to EasyEDA create a PCB (suggest to go straight to an expensive 6 layer to ...

Re: ZX Spectrum Next Keyboard
can't see why someone couldn't make an 'expansion box' that sits on the edge connector that outputs USB HID for keyboards to connect any keypress on the Next to a PC as a keyboard input! http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~jg27paw4/yr01/yr01_58.htm someone back in '84 did 1/2 the work for you, now jus...

Re: Correctly setting up the Accelerator Board - Pi Zero W
Code is for the BCM2835 processor used in the Pi 1, zero, A, CM1
id imagine you'd need to re-compile the code for the BCM2836, BCM2837 processors used in the later pi's
(I tried a pi 3, it doesn't work!)

Re: Since V0.8B: No startup after power on
what's your power supply like?, may sound an odd question, but most overall anything PCB realated for any project things like this tend to be power supply related... yes, it may have worked before, yes, it may have never had an issue before the firmware, but you'd be amazed at how often a change of ...

Re: RTC Issue
Hi Tim, some news about the RTC Issue: Some days ago there was a retro meeting up here where at least half a dozen ZX Next boards where on. (What I ask myself: Has this been the highest concentration of "Just The Board's" out in the wild ?! :D ) At least three boards have had issues with the RTC. W...

Re: How Many Units in the 1st Cased Boxed Run?
it was around 400 board only users that they suggested back in the past My original analysis - here https://www.specnext.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=635&start=10#p3597 suggested about 500 PCB only shipments there was £42,071 in additional cash over and above the pledges now we know that there was ...
