Re: Question about virtual tapes on the Next

I was asking about the rewind option because there are certain programs that have mutiple utilities on the same tape. In reality it's not that critical, because I can always create a TAP file for each of those programs. There is an input browser in the NMI menu that lets you move the current tape p...

Re: Question about virtual tapes on the Next

As you found out the LOAD and SAVE streams are considered separate so you can attach separate tap files with .tapein and .tapeout. The NMI menu lets you change what files are attached to .tapein and .tapeout at any time. Stop / rewind happens automatically. The tap file is only read when the progra...

Re: Cores not listed in the FAQ you would like to see on Next

Would it be possible to implement the ZX-Evolution? ( http://nedopc.com/zxevo/zxevo_eng.php ). Being a fantastic russian spectrum-based clone, it could be a great addition!.
Looking at the specs some parts are shared already.

New future Next owner from Madrid, Spain

Hi. After totally missing the Spectrum Next project (I haven't been following Spectrum news in the last few years), I got to now that this wonderful machine existed but unfortunately the kickstarter 2 campaign was already finished. After seeing that some Nexts could appear in the store, I subscribed...
