Re: Z88DK beginnings

Hi Alcoholics Anonymous, Sorry for answering so late, I up to my ears in sh... ahem, things to do. :-) >Nice tamas.. clearly a cpu speed boost wouldn't go amiss Thank you. Actually, the speed boost is already in place in the next. (14mhz and 28mhz modes if I remember correctly) I bet this would perf...

Re: Z88DK beginnings

Completed porting of the speccy next version of md5sum. Luckily only minimal changes were necessary. It seems to work ok, the windows compiled version bringing the same result as the speccy version. It is slow though (no wonder here of course :-) ): a 647k file took 10 mins to process in ZesarUX emu...

Re: Z88DK beginnings

>It will be fun to see what you come up with. Thank you, I will post here time to time. I would like to participate in the more serious programming but I know need to learn a LOT (assembly, lower level programming, etc.) to do that. Maybe I will get there in time. Anyway, for now, I just did a small...

Z88DK beginnings

I would like to ask about compiling C programs for the Next using Z88DK (zcc) I am totally new to the zx spectrum programming and I thought that as a first step, I would like to practice with creating next dot commands. I took the usual "Hello world" example here: :-) (hellow.c) #include <stdio.h> i...

Re: WIP - Walkabout (z88dk)

My version is: "Version: 20170112".
So it seems that my setup is way older than yours. I will get a newer one and try again.
I checked the level code entry screen, I was able to enter a valid code and I got the appropriate level.
Also, he redefine keys function was working as it should.

Re: WIP - Walkabout (z88dk)

Hi, First of all, thanks for showing us this ilittle game and also to share the source code! This will help me greatly to learn how to work with z88dk and assembly. I tried to compile your source and it seems that I bumped into two problems. I managed to make it work but I am not sure if I did the r...
