Re: Has anyone successfully connected to an RGB monitor

OK - I will try and bring it to the team's attention... After talking to you and Victor I did some more research on this problem and found a gaming forum with a discussion going on with a very similar issue I'm having with a solution. Luckily it worked for me too. :D I have two VGA to BNC cables co...

Re: Has anyone successfully connected to an RGB monitor

In your video you only show using F3 to turn on and off 50/60 - did you try all boot options from 0-7 the second parameter after the machine timing 2 (it is set to 3 in this example) menu=ZX Spectrum Next VGA(3),2,3,enNextOS.rom,nextmmc.rom I didn't in the video but after making the video I tried d...

Re: Has anyone successfully connected to an RGB monitor

Thanks, but adjusting the timings didn't help. I don't want to modify any POTs since my MiST, and MiSTer FPGAs work fine on this RGB monitor. I'll just wait and see if it gets better with future updates.
I'm curious if anyone has had any success connecting their Next to an RGB monitor.

Re: DIY Upgrade Components

In general, for electronics, it is best to use standard 60/40 lead/tin rosin core solder. Commercial applications generally use lead free solder, but those solders have higher melting points and inferior mechanical characteristics. Don't get anything very thick unless you are planning to work exclu...

Re: DIY Upgrade Components

Thanks richuk :)
Sorry if this is a bit off topic. Could someone recommend the type of solder I should be using to install all the components on the next board? I'm not the best at soldering so if there's one that would make the job a little easier that'd be great.
