From specnext discord: Are the maintainers of https://www.specnext.com/forum/ aware of the registration is broken ? Or at least I have not been able to register nor contact the admins. I just keep getting the welcome email: "Your account is currently inactive and will need to be approved by an admin...

Re: How can you send data from the notebook to the Next's wifi via tcp?

I was planning to revise it, but then my ESP-01 died. Getting a replacement took so long that other things cam...

I found that by connecting my Next to a cheap HDMI audio extractor, and then connecting the extractor to the monitor with an HDMI>DVI cable it did something to the HDMI signal and then it worked!
If that worked, then it's possible that another (higher quality) HDMI cable might also work.

Re: HDMI causing background noise to sound output...

.. that sounds like a ground loop issue? which would be weird.. Yes and even stranger, because they are on same power outlet. The point is, if there is an HDMI connected to Next and it to display, there is a constant ticking on amp. Even if Next is off and the amp is on different input. I wouldn't ...

Just to update, found a way to "Dance around it" ;)
When I connect Next's analog audio out to my Soundblaster X6's analog input and it transfers it to amp, there is no extra noise on the sound!

Re: updating NextPi?

Afaik nextpi2 will require a bigger sd card than nextpi1, which means that the only way to update would be to open the next and replacing the sd card..
