The best way to request an update is to do it via the link on the kickstarter page:

There is one coming soon though.

Re: Transfer programs from the PC to the Next?

There is zxnftp: https://github.com/varmfskii/zxnext_tools/tree/master/zxnftp and nextsync: https://github.com/jarikomppa/specnext/blob/master/sync/nextsync.txt (I'm assuming you mean wirelessly as you can just plug the physical sd card into a pc and copy files that way. There is also a way to do it...

Re: How to save and load CSpect emulator state when emulating ZX Spectrum Next?

I have spoken to Mike about cspect. In the meantime it might be interesting to find out if zesarux can produce a reliable state save. The emulators are only partial emulation so it will depend a lot on the game I think.

Re: How to save and load CSpect emulator state when emulating ZX Spectrum Next?

Nothing supports saving the zx spectrum next state (as opposed to the zx spectrum state). The real zx next itself can save snapshots when running original zx titles but it cannot save the zx next state because it's considerably more complicated and some of the internal hardware state is not readable...

Re: No signal using HDMI to DVI-D

I don't think a straight cable would do the same. The extractor is likely removing the audio packets from the hdmi signal and it's the audio packets that are not in the dvi standard compared to the hdmi standard. Those audio packets would be a problem especially for older dvi monitors which may not ...

Re: can now send / receive data with rs232 with cspect (next)

does that also work with the zesarux? No I don't think so, not yet at least. A feature like this is not too hard to add since the emulators do not have to work at the signals level. The Next uarts are hardware uarts (unlike the IF1 / 128K serial interface which is bit-banged) so an emulator can ope...

Re: can now send / receive data with rs232 with cspect (next)

cspect is emulating the esp/wifi uart only. You can also plug a real esp-01 board into your pc so that the emulated next on cspect can communicate with the esp as it would on the real hardware too. There are two hardware uarts in the Next, one normally connected to the esp/wifi through the esp/wifi ...

Re: ZX Spectrum 80K core?

It would have to be more than a personality since it requires a little extra hardware to be able to switch out the ram in the same way. Personalities are actually the zx next core configured to disable much of the hardware and initialized by loading the standard roms in before booting. The 80K mod i...
