TextMate editor and Fuse compiler

Postby |48K| » Fri Jul 24, 2020 1:22 pm

Hi everyone, not sure this is the correct place/forum to post, but thought I'd at least give it a go. (For unknown reasons, I'm unable post to the WoS forums to ask over there - I just get an error).

I’d like to get back into Spectrum BASIC coding with my daughter (and eventually onto a ZX Spectrum Next!)

A few years ago now, I used a Sinclair Basic.tmbundle plugin for TextMate written by Andy Herbert (links below).
https://worldofspectrum.org/forums/disc ... edirect/p1

Live link is here:

This worked great, and has proper syntax highlighting, but the command (Command+R) to compile and run in Fuse (via zxmakebas) doesn’t seem to work any more.
I was hoping someone would be able to help explain what the problem might be (and how to solve it?).

I get this error:

Run in FUSE: line 9: ~/Library/Application Support/TextMate/Pristine Copy/Bundles/Sinclair BASIC.tmbundle/Support/run_zmakebas.sh: Permission denied

I’m assuming that it might be a problem with the shell script included in the package? Or maybe I need to place Fuse in the right directory or something? Any ideas? (I’m not a great coder!)

I’m running macOSX 10.12 or 10.14

Thanks! Matt

OK - I got this working. Lots permission errors and I needed to make a new version of zmakebas among other things!

If anyone would like the updated TextMate Sinclair BASIC bundle, here it is:
