Next Basic development pipeline?

Post by stevebrowne » Fri Dec 22, 2017 10:54 am

Is there an existing way or planned way to easily develop using NextBasic on a PC/Mac etc. rather than on the Next directly?

I saw the VS Code addons, which is great for source code, but what's the way to then squirt that onto the Next to run / test , or is there a PC/Mac based NextBasic interpreter?

I am not aware of anything other than using one of the emulators like ZEsarUX, Cspect etc to write there first.

Hi,

have you seen this Visual Studio extension? viewtopic.php?f=14&t=532

I think it should be easy to extend it to the syntax of Next Basic. Having a Spectrum Next emulator could be an issue though.

Merry christmans and have a lot of fun...
