Another UK lurker ...

Postby MtM » Wed Apr 15, 2020 3:12 pm

Been reading the forums for a bit now this is my first post, not had my Next very long, from the UK originally.

Quick question, where do you buy the ram from to expand it to 2mb?

Apologies if that is common knowledge.

Thanks for that reply, much appreciated.

I have had ordered the ram and a few other bits and pieces. Anyone any ideas how long before
they are in stock, or are they in stock just waiting to be mailed.

Thanks again anyway.

Hi MtM and welcome to the Forum!
You will be pleased to know that the seller mentioned above did receive another 100 memory 'chips' a couple of days ago, and was picking and packing them yesterday.
If you place an order now (if you haven't already done so, that is!) then hopefully you shouldn't have to wait too long for them to be delivered.
In the meantime, I hope you are enjoying your new ZX Spectrum Next! :)

Hello Montala,

Thanks a lot for the reply. I have placed an order already so hopefully will receive it soon. I will update here when I have.

I am enjoying the Next so far, just about to download cpm for it and notice that there is another update on gitlab to download too.

I see there are a few other sellers of ram etc. out there too.

I am a bit disappointed that the games I have bought for the Next at the moment none of them have save features tbh, but
the machine itself is fun, was doing a bit of programming on it today ... very simple basic. Takes me back...
