In 1985 (I was 13) my school was pioneer in giving computer classes and I was lucky to get in. The computer was a marvelous Amstrad CPC464. There I learnt to program in Basic and played my first computer videogames.
That summer my parents bought me a Zx Spectrum 48k+. Not as fancy as the Amstrad but way much cheaper. Then I became a Speccy videogame addict until 1991, that I have my first PC 386. In 1992 I stopped playing computer games until now, but that's another story.
Recently (nostalgia rules) I started to watch youtube videos about retro computer and found about this Spectrum Next KS campaign. Was not lucky to get on time, hope there will be another one. I would love to see this new machine in a modern setup.
Meantime, I've put my old Speccy at sight to see it everyday.
And yesterday I've been lucky to buy an original (still sealed) Spectrum 48k from 1983. It's amazing that nobody used it in 37 years. I'll show pictures as soon as it arrives.
