As you know I'm in for one and willing to pay slightly more if it will arrive within a month instead of the current 8 month timescale.
How much is "slightly more"?

I would order one ZX Spectrum Next. Just the regular £175 version. Possibly the "Plus" or "Accelerated" if I have the money and some lead time. I pledged $1 just so I could be in the loop. ;-)

Thanks!

I've pledged for 2 full machines and over-pledged for a single board as well. None of mine are intended for sale. I first want to be immersed in the Z80 Assembly Language, then sample what is/was available for the platform. After evaluating its potential for teaching/learning, I may want to purchase more as gifts for young people in my life.

The Raspberry Pi is interesting as a learning platform, but is not capable of being totally understood by a single human being.

These older 8 bit machines, for the most part, have that potential. They possess Human Scale.

A person can get their mind around the entire machine and form ideas and opinions about technology in general with this type of machine.

So... yes.
I may want to purchase more, once evaluated.

An accelerated NEXT, please.
I've pledged Vega so was a bit sceptical, but Next looks really promissing and real!

I would likely buy another full Next (non-accelerated) plus a spare board or two. And an extra case+keyboard if sold separately.

Exactly the same for me, pass on the retro knowledge!
