Presenting... NextSync, a way to use the next's (optional) wifi module to transfer files to the next.
Download here: http://iki.fi/sol/zip/nextsync10.zip ** link updated 12 September 2020 **
Sources: https://github.com/jarikomppa/specnext/tree/master/sync
To compile you need sdcc and python. And some desktop c compiler too I guess.
The documentation explains things better, but in short:
- Run nextsync.py server on desktop (you need python 3)
- Run .sync on the next
- Changed files will be copied over.

Re: NextSync 0.5
I also have nothing against this ending up in the specnext distribution, should it be worthy.

Re: NextSync 0.5
Sounds great, on my list of things to explore one I will real Next set up and running. Thanks.
Re: NextSync 0.5
Weird, I'm getting the error Server version mismatch.
I'm using the server and dot file from the zip file.
Could I be getting the error because I'm running the newer version of Next OS from Gitlab?

Re: NextSync 0.5
What does the error page say? It should at least try to show the version string that it receives.
Re: NextSync 0.5
There's several async layers to this so it's entirely possible something blows up when it's not exactly my setup. I have plans to make the protocol a bit more robust which should help.
Re: NextSync 0.5
This time I'm not getting an error it's not displaying anything past the IP address on the Next.
I'm going to reset my Next back to the release version of Next OS and Firmware.
